
It is a tunable detector mount with probe
& detector for detecting microwave power, through built-in IN23 detector diode. The
detector diode is mounted in a waveguide section which is flanged on one side &
affixed with a moveable shorting plunger on the other side. The plunger is operated by a
micrometer.

It is a shunt type T- junction, and is similar to E- plane Tee in
working principle. It is used in conjuction with VSWR meters, Frequency Meters etc.

9. Precision Slide Screw

It is a vernier and micrometer driven tuner whereby penetration and
position of screw in a slot in a both side flanged waveguide changes the impedance and
helps in matching. Using it, a VSWR upto 20 can be tuned out to better than 1.02, at a
particular frequency.

Micrometer : 0.1mm least count for depth of penetration
Vernier : 0.1mm least count for positioning of screw along the slot
in the waveguide.
